Many users are concerned about the unexpected appearance of RAV Endpoint Protection, as it has been installed on various computers without authorization or prior notification. This has left many users unaware of its presence, leading them to believe it may have been installed unintentionally. RAV Endpoint Protection, developed by ReasonLabs, is legitimate antivirus software, but its installation through bundling practices can cause confusion.

According to reports from various discussion forums, the unexpected presence of this antivirus software indicates that it was installed inadvertently along with other software. RAV Antivirus could be bundled as an add-on that users might not notice during the installation process.

While the software is legitimate, if you did not intend to install it, you may want to uninstall it and run a system scan to ensure no other unwanted programs were installed alongside it.

Step 1. Uninstall RAV Antivirus From Windows

  1. Press the Win key on your keyboard and type Add or Remove Programs in the search bar.
  2. When the option appears, press Enter to open the Settings window where you manage installed programs.
  3. In the search bar at the top of the page, type RAV Antivirus to find the program in your list of installed applications.
  4. Click the three dots next to RAV Antivirus, then click Uninstall. A confirmation box will appear; click Uninstall again to confirm and remove the software.
  5. Once the uninstallation is complete, RAV Antivirus will be removed from your computer, and you’re good to go!

If you cannot see RAV Antivirus in Settings > Apps & Features, uninstall it from the Control Panel. Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Win (Windows logo) + R keys on your keyboard at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
  2. In the box that appears, type Appwiz.cpl and then click OK. This will open the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel, where you can see all the installed programs on your computer.
  3. Scroll through the list to find RAV Antivirus, right-click on it, and select Uninstall. Follow any additional prompts to complete the uninstallation.

Step 2. Scan Your PC With Microsoft Defender

Software installed unintentionally can sometimes be associated with potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). While RAV Endpoint Protection itself is not adware, similar unwanted programs can sometimes be bundled with other software.

If you encounter RAV Endpoint Protection unexpectedly, it’s advisable to scan your system with trusted antivirus software like Windows Defender to check for any potential threats. Always ensure that you download software from official and trusted sources to avoid risks.

  1. Press the Win key (on your keyboard) and, in the search bar that appears, type Windows Security, then press Enter.
  2. In the Windows Security window, select the option labeled Virus & Threat Protection.
  3. Next, find and click on the Scan Options link located under the Virus & Threat Protection section.
  4. When the Scan Options menu appears, choose the Full Scan option to scan your entire system for threats. Once selected, click on Scan Now to begin the scanning process.
  5. Wait for the scan to finish. Once the scan is complete, Windows Security will automatically show you the results and remove any harmful files it finds.

By following the above methods, you should be able to uninstall RAV Antivirus without any issues. To prevent this issue in the future, always download programs from their official websites. Pay attention when installing programs rather than blindly following on-screen instructions.

When users try to join a server in Battlefield 1, they encounter the error, “An error occurred, please try again later. Error Code: -34601.” This error indicates a problem with joining the game servers. The main reason behind this error is often an unstable internet connection.

Additionally, certain factors can worsen connectivity issues, such as running VPN services or having a misconfigured MAC address, which can disrupt the internet connection and cause problems when trying to connect to game servers.

In this article, we will explore various solutions to fix this issue.

1. Check Your Internet Connection

You can check your speed on platforms like Fast or Speedtest. For a smooth gaming experience, look for a download speed of at least 15 Mbps, an upload speed of at least 5 Mbps, and a ping rate of under 50 ms. If your internet speed is slow, consider restarting your router or contacting your ISP to resolve any service issues.

Ensure that no other devices are consuming a large portion of your bandwidth (e.g., streaming videos or downloads) while you are gaming.

2. Check EA Server Status

If EA servers are down or experiencing issues, it can prevent you from joining the game. Server outages or maintenance are common causes of connectivity problems. Visit the EA server status page to ensure all servers are running smoothly.

Checking social media platforms and forums can provide updates from other players who might be facing the same issue. If the servers are down, you may need to wait for EA to resolve the issue.

You can check the server status on EA’s official website here

3. Restart and Reconnect

This error might be due to temporary issues within the game, which can typically be fixed by restarting the game. Restarting will clear the game’s temporary cache and reset the connection to the server, thus resolving temporary bugs causing issues in the game.

Restarting your console or computer, as well as your game client, can ensure that all background processes are refreshed, potentially eliminating any lingering issues that could interfere with your ability to join game servers.

4. Clear Alternate MAC Address on Consoles

An improper MAC address can cause interruptions while playing online games, leading to connectivity issues. The MAC address (Media Access Control address) is a unique identifier assigned to your console’s network interface card. Sometimes, a manually configured alternate MAC address can conflict with network settings or cause compatibility issues with the game servers.

Clearing the alternate MAC address will revert to the original, factory-assigned MAC address, which is often more compatible with network configurations and can help resolve these connectivity problems.

  1. Press the Xbox One button to open the guide menu.
  2. Navigate to the Settings icon and select All Settings from the context menu.
  3. In the Settings tab, choose Network Settings.
  4. Go to Advanced Settings.
  5. Select Alternate MAC Address.
  6. Click the Clear button, then choose Restart to apply the changes.
  7. After the console restarts, try joining a server in Battlefield 1 again.

5. Disable VPN/Proxy

If a VPN service is running on your computer, it can cause an unstable internet connection due to additional routing and encryption processes that introduce latency and packet loss. This can be particularly problematic for online gaming where a stable, low-latency connection is crucial.

Disabling the VPN will provide a direct connection to Battlefield 1 servers, ensuring reduced latency and a more stable gaming experience. For added security and privacy, consider re-enabling your VPN when not gaming.

  1. Press Windows + I keys together to open the Settings menu.
  2. In the Settings window, click on Network & Internet.
  3. From the left-hand side menu, select VPN.
  4. Look for any active VPN connections listed. Click on the connection you want to disconnect, then click Disconnect.

Loading issues are often caused by corruption in the game files. By verifying the game files, you ensure corrupted files are removed or replaced with fresh ones.

  1. Open Steam and click on Library.
  2. Locate Delta Force Hawk Ops from your list of games, right-click it, and select Properties.
  3. In the Properties window, click on Installed Files from the left pane.
  4. Click the button labeled Verify the integrity of game files.
  5. Wait for the verification process to complete. If the issue persists, proceed with other solutions.

2. Free Up System Resources

If you run too many background tasks while playing the game, you need to free up system resources by closing unnecessary programs to free up memory and CPU power. This will allow the game to access more resources, reducing loading time and improving overall performance.

  1. Right-click the Taskbar at the bottom of your screen and select Task Manager.
  2. In Task Manager, look for applications you are not actively using.
  3. Right-click each unnecessary application and click End task.
  4. Close Task Manager and check if the game still gets stuck on loading.

3. Disable In-Game Overlays

Overlay features can crash games due to their resource usage. Additionally, they sometimes conflict with the game’s engine, causing crashes or freezes. Follow these steps to disable overlays from applications like Discord, Steam, or GeForce Experience.

Since the Steam overlay often causes this issue, we’ll focus on disabling the Steam overlay. If you have overlay features enabled on other applications like Discord or GeForce Experience, disable them there as well.

  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
  2. Find Delta Force Hawk Ops, right-click on it, and select Properties.
  3. In the Properties window, uncheck Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.
  4. Restart the game to see if the loading issue is resolved.

4. Reinstall on SSD (If Installed on External Drive)

Reinstalling the game on an SSD can resolve loading issues, as SSDs offer faster read/write processes and transfer speeds. This reduces the chances of the game getting stuck on the loading screen.

  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.

When low FPS, freezing, and stuttering occur in Once Human, the game becomes almost impossible to play due to its multiplayer elements that require quick actions in many combat situations, whether in PvP or PvE. Freezing and stuttering can be caused by various factors, such as bottlenecks where the game struggles to maintain stable frame rates. This problem often arises due to high graphics settings, outdated GPU drivers, or conflicts with overlays.

As we discussed the causes, let’s look at the solutions. Before making any changes, ensure your system meets the minimum requirements for Once Human. This is crucial because if your system does not meet the minimum requirements, experiencing these issues is expected.

1. Download the game through Loading Bay

According to various users, downloading the game through Loading Bay results in smoother gameplay compared to Steam. Loading Bay is the official client for Once Human. Running the game via Loading Bay may improve performance and provide a smoother experience than Steam.

  1. Go to the official Loading Bay website and download the launcher.
  2. Once downloaded, double-click the installer and follow the instructions to install Loading Bay.
  3. Create an account on Loading Bay if you haven’t already.
  4. Open the Loading Bay launcher, download the game, and check if the issues are resolved.

2. Disable Overlays and Background Applications

Another reason for low FPS or stuttering issues is running excessive background or overlay applications. These apps consume significant resources, leading to various issues, especially if the game requires high performance to run properly.

  1. Open Task Manager and look for unnecessary applications running in the background.
  2. Right-click on them and select End task.
  3. If you play Once Human via Steam, disable the Steam overlay. Also, disable overlays on other applications, like Discord.
  4. To disable the Steam overlay, open Steam and go to the game’s library.
  5. Right-click Once Human and go to Properties.
  6. Toggle off Enable the Steam overlay while in-game.
  7. Launch the game and check if the issue is fixed.

3. Update Graphics Drivers

Updating your GPU drivers ensures that your game runs on the latest driver version. Check for the most recent driver, as updates often include performance improvements and compatibility enhancements.

Even if your GPU driver is up-to-date, consider reinstalling it, as it might be corrupted and causing issues.

  1. Open your GPU management software (e.g., Nvidia GeForce Experience, AMD Radeon Software).
  2. Go to the Drivers section and click Check for updates.
  3. If a new GPU driver is found, update it to the latest version.
  4. Launch Once Human and check if the issue is resolved.

4. Lower Graphics Settings

If the issue persists, try reducing the graphics settings to low. High graphics settings increase the workload on the GPU and CPU, which can lead to bottleneck issues, resulting in low FPS, freezing, or stuttering.

  1. Go to Settings and navigate to Video.
  2. Select Performance from the top.
  3. Set all settings to low.
  4. Check if the issues are resolved.

If none of these solutions resolve the issue, try reinstalling the game. Reinstallation might fix the problem if there are corrupted files in the game directory. We recommend using Loading Bay, the official client for Once Human, instead of Steam for reinstallation.

Disabling Windows Defender may be preferable for users relying on third-party antivirus software. As Windows Defender is deeply integrated into the OS, disabling it involves editing the registry or modifying Group Policy settings. These methods require precise steps to ensure the changes are correct.

Before proceeding, choose a reliable third-party antivirus, as disabling Windows Defender will leave your system vulnerable.

1. Use Group Policy Editor

Modifying the Group Policy Editor is a straightforward way to disable Windows Defender. This method is more permanent, as the Group Policy Editor allows users to modify core Windows functions.

If you have Windows Home edition, you need to install the Group Policy Editor.

  1. Right-click the Start Menu and select Run.
  2. In the Run Dialog box, type gpedit.msc and press Enter to open the Group Policy Editor.
  3. Navigate to:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Microsoft Defender Antivirus
  4. Double-click Turn off Microsoft Defender Antivirus, then select Enabled.
  5. Click Apply and then OK to save the settings.
  6. Next, select Allow Antimalware service to remain running always, and set it to Disabled.
  7. Click Apply and then OK.
  8. Open the Real-time protection folder, and double-click Turn off real-time protection.
  9. Select Enabled, click Apply, and then OK.
  10. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

2. Use Registry Editor (Only for Windows 10)

The Registry Editor can also be used to disable Windows Defender.

  1. Click the Start Menu and type Registry Editor, then press Enter to open it.
  2. In the Registry Editor, navigate to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
  3. Right-click on an empty space in the right pane, hover over New, and click DWORD (32-bit) Value.
  4. Name the newly created DWORD as DisableAntiSpyware.
  5. Double-click the DisableAntiSpyware entry, set its value to 1, and click OK.
  6. Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer to apply the changes.

After following these methods, ensure you’ve installed reliable antivirus software. Consult our guide on the 5 BEST Antiviruses for Windows 2024 to choose trustworthy antivirus software.

When the “Network error, trying to reconnect” error occurs in Faceit, it means the connection to the server has been disrupted and the application is attempting to re-establish it.

The most common cause for this error is interference from the antivirus firewall. Other causes include unstable internet connections, misconfigured network settings, and ISP issues.

1. Disable Firewall and Antivirus

Windows Firewall or third-party antivirus software monitors traffic to prevent unauthorized access. Sometimes, they can interfere with legitimate connections needed for online gaming. Disabling them can help determine if they are causing the issue.

  1. Press the Win key and type Windows Defender Firewall.
  2. Press Enter to open the Windows Firewall Settings.
  3. In the left pane, select Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off.
  4. For both private and public network settings, choose Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (not recommended).
  5. Click OK to save the settings.
  6. Check if the error is resolved.

Important: If the error is resolved, re-enable the firewall by selecting “Turn on Windows Defender Firewall.” Reinstall Faceit to let its installer properly configure your firewall to allow Faceit to connect without any blockage. If the problem persists, continue with the next steps.

2. Reset Network Settings

Incorrect or corrupted network settings can cause connectivity issues. Resetting the network settings clears these settings, allowing your system to establish a fresh connection to the network.

  1. Press the Win key and type Network reset.
  2. Press Enter to open the network reset settings.
  3. Click the Reset Now button to reset your network settings to default.
  4. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.

3. Use a VPN

Using a VPN can help determine if regional restrictions or your ISP is blocking certain connections to Faceit. While it might not be a permanent solution due to potential high pings, it can indicate where the problem lies. Follow these steps:

  1. Download and install a reputable VPN service (e.g., NordVPN, ExpressVPN).
  2. Open the VPN application and connect to a server in a different region.
  3. After connecting, try using Faceit again.
  4. If the error is resolved while using the VPN, the issue might be with your ISP or regional restrictions.

If the problem is resolved, contact your ISP and inform them of the connectivity issues with the hostname ac-client-ws.faceit.com.

If none of these solutions work, contact Faceit support. Their team will help you resolve the error as soon as possible.
